How to split a PDF and check the extracted pages
A practical guide to choosing pages, splitting a long PDF locally and verifying the extracted files.

Choose the pages you need
Use Split PDF for a selected output or Multi Split for several groups. Printed page labels can differ from the page position in the file: a cover and contents page often explain the difference.
- Select your source PDF and inspect the page positions.
- Choose the pages or ranges supported by the selected tool.
- Generate the result and download it.
- Open each saved file and compare its first page, last page and page count with the intended selection.
Processing and limits
These splitting workflows process document bytes in your browser. A large PDF still consumes memory and processing time. Keep the original and do not assume an extracted PDF preserves a signature on the source document.
