What the AdreTools PDF signature does and does not prove
Understand server signing, service certificates, document integrity and qualified-signature limitations.

A service signature is not your personal credential
Sign PDF uploads the document and applies the AdreTools service certificate. This can support a technical integrity check against that signature, but does not authenticate you personally, establish contractual consent or provide a qualified electronic signature.
- Confirm that uploading the document is allowed.
- Check whether the recipient accepts a service certificate for the intended purpose.
- Read the tool's options before signing.
- Download and inspect the signature in the recipient's PDF reader.
Trust and legal effect are separate
Readers can disagree about certificate trust. Modifying a signed file can affect validation. If a transaction requires identity verification, a recognised trust provider or a qualified signature, use the required signing service instead. See the Privacy Policy for server processing.
